Synopsis

Set in Palm Springs, California, and inspired by an Emily Dickinson poem, Slant tells the story of a gay man in his early 50's looking for romantic connection long after the loss of his partner to AIDS.  Enter:  Luis (David Calderon).

 

STEPHEN SOUCY, DIRECTOR

Stephen Soucy is a Los Angeles-based publisher and filmmaker, and the principal at Modernist Enterprises. In addition to Slant, his recent and upcoming projects include: Art From Art, an edited collection of short fiction featuring 38 writers (Modernist Press, 2011); Scanner Days, Starry Nights, a short film slated for production this summer; and Out in the World, a feature film that will explore the artistic lives and complicated loves of married (gay and lesbian) writers Paul and Jane Bowles.
