This refreshing and sweet coming-of-age story delights in the thrill of first love and pre- adolecsent passion. Twelve-year-old Anita falls in love with the stunning, and much older, Pilar who has returned to their village after being away for 10 years.  Upon seeing her for the first time, the loveable Anita declares, “That is the girl I’m going to marry.” With amazing performances by three 12-year-old Filipino actors, this film is a rich and warm tale that will delight all audience members. A true festival treat!

ANITA’S LAST CHA-CHA has collected several festival awards since it’s premiere at the Cine Filipino Film Festival where it won Best Picture. Recently, the film won special mention for Best Picture at the 2014 Osaka Asian Film Festival.
